Vikash,
Is the following vpc config advisable?
For example
N7K01 and N7K02
int e 1/3
channel-group 10 mode active
int e1/4
channel-group 10 mode active
int po 10
desc conn to N5K
vpc 10
N5K01 and N5K02
Int e 1/3
Channel-group 20 mode active
Int e 1/4
Channel-group 20 mode active
Int po 20
Desc conn to N7K
Vpc 20
TIA.

yes think that's a double sided vpc your going for there, just make sure you have the rest of the config as well
this will help good doc for vpc design

Hi PF,
How do you have N7k01 and N7k02 connected?. How do you have N5k01 and N5k02 connected?. If N7k01 and 2 are vPC peers and N5k01 and 2 are vPC peers with connection between N5k and N7k, it should be fine.
As like traditional port-channel, the port-channel number between neighbors are not required to be same. The same applies for vPC. But the vPC id should be same between the vPC peers.

Mark,
Thanks very much for your reply. With the example provided, both pairs of N7K and N5K have different po and vpc id. I was just wondering why, it will be less confusing if both N7K and N5K have the same po and vpc id. Do you know the reason why?
TIA
PF

Nagendra,
Thanks very much for your reply. Understood that they do not need to be the same. I was just wondering if there is any benefit technically if they are different.
Thanks.
