I posted this in the wrong forum initially I believe so moving here which I think is correct...
I've been asked to upgrade the ESXi on a UCSC 220-M3SBE (BE6k) platform from 5.1 to 6.5 - I'm not sure what media or ISO I should use. I've obtained the custom Cisco image from VMware's web site for 6.5 but is that right or is there a special ISO I need to use in order to keep the splash screen to where it says: Cisco Business Edition 6000 as shown in the screenshot below? It would seem like if I used the custom image that I've downloaded from VMware it would replace the text: "Cisco Business Edition 6000" with VMware ESXi 6.5.....
Thanks!

Greetings.
The ESXi customized ISO is a good place to start.
The splash screen can be restored in case it gets updated.
Make a copy of "/etc/vmware/welcome" file on your ESXi host which should be what is displaying the BE6K info on the console.
https://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?language=en_US&cmd=displayKC&externalId=2046347
Please make sure your HUU firmware and ESXi 6.5 drivers are on the HCL at https://ucshcltool.cloudapps.cisco.com/public/#
I'm assuming you have checked on the various apps you have running in guestVMs in regards to compatibility with ESXi 6.5?
Make sure you arrange for an upgraded license for 6.5, as the ESXi server will want an updated license key after the upgrade.
Thanks,
Kirk...
