Hello,

You can use this doc to troubleshoot Boot from SAN:

http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/servers-unified-computing/ucs-b-series-blade-servers/115764-ucs-san-tshoot-00.html

Have you watched the KVM when the server boots? If you do not have an iso mounted via virtual media, you are not going to have a "CD/DVD" device.

When the server boots, you should see the option ROM for the VIC load and then your LUN should be listed. If this is not the case, follow the steps in the document above to troubleshoot connectivity through the SAN switch to the storage array.

HTH,

Wes

hi,Wesley Austin :

just appreciate  reply me , according UCS  SAN troubleshoot guide,  check for my configure,

include zone and LUN map is right,  VHBA'S WWN and storage WWN is present at MDS switch.

for attachment picture,  the ISO have  already mount to virtual devices.  for local CD/DVD, at actual

boot order.also display "not found please verify device present"

Hello,

I would not focus on that output in the screen capture as much as I would the actual boot process.

When you boot the server and press F6 when prompted, do you see the "Local Mapped KVM CD/DVD" or something to that effect?

When the option ROM for the VIC loads, do you see the storage LUNs listed in the KVM screen?

hi,Wesley Austin

  two problem:

 1.  according to your advice , i  press F6 keyboard when process of UCS blade startup .

please refer to attachment picture vdvd.png, only display locate  CD/DVD, no display  storage LUN disk.

2.  login in to FI6324, execute the following command

FI6324-A(nxos)# show npv flogi-table
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------SERVER                                                                  EXTERNALINTERFACE VSAN FCID             PORT NAME               NODE NAME       INTERFACE
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
vfc2583   102  0xee0217   20:00:00:25:b5:00:00:01 20:00:00:25:b5:00:00:00 fc1/1

Total number of flogi = 1.

only one  FCID of the WWPN is assigned, and VSAN is correct. because of i create  two

VHBA  on the server profile. check for UCSM , the two VHBA's PWWN is right.

what's wrong with FI6324 ? please refer attachment picture VHBA.png.
