You can just replace the DIMM if it showing failed. You can also try to reseat or swap the DIMM with another slot.

A firmware upgrade will likely not fix that issue.

Initially it was unable to reach CIMC controller. after replacing the RAM slots only working and able to reach my CIMC and application.

The functionally ok, but its shows mentioned the error. DDR3_P1_B1_ECC.

DIMM_B1 failed.

The CIMC functionality will generally work even if there is an overall processor or DIMM failure, provided the CIMC has already been configured prior to those failures..

If you replaced a DIMM, and were previously having issues reaching your CIMC, then you were likely hitting a  memleak issue in the CIMC, which a hard power cycle will resolve, and something you likely did during the DIMM replacement.

You will want to upgrade your CIMC to avoid the memleak issue where the web interface no longer responds.

Kirk...

A good step-by-step guide on how to upgrade the CIMC firmware can be found HERE.
