Assuming you are trying to install to local storage. What storage controller is in the server?
VMware removed MANY storage devices in ESXi 7.0. See:

The C220 M3 spec sheet:

Hello, have you found a solution?

As Steve has already indicated, esxi 7 removed support for quite a bit of hardware including a number of storage controllers.
Your first step, is to identify which raid/storage controller you have present, and then check the esxi HCL
Example of the 9271 controller :https://www.vmware.com/resources/compatibility/detail.php?deviceCategory=io&productid=36625
In drop down for product name, 6.7u3 is highest version listed.

We are trying to attempt to upgrade our UCS C220 M3 to vSphere 7.0 and have incompatibility issues as well. Does anyone have a confirmed working RAID controller model for this server?

Hi,
According to compatibility matrix, cisco 220M3 is not prepared for vmware 7. please check below link.

please mark this is solution and up vote of this solved your concern.
Good luck,
