Hi,
We have an Hyperflex Cluster with 5 x HXAF240C-M5SX and 2 x UCS-FI-6454.
In our server 3, we have an adapter compliance error message for the UCSC-MLOM-C25Q-04, "Adapter firmware and driver version not listed in HCL", however we have the same adapter and same firmware version in all servers, everything seems working fine, there are no new alerts, but we have 3 old alerts, from some months ago, for adapter restarted (message at the bottom). In UCS Manager, a link in the server 3 is red, but we are not receiving any alert.
Do you have any idea?
Thanks in advance,
Omar De Souza.

Sounds like some lingering alarms from an unexpected VIC reboot last year.
I'd put that node into maintenance mode and then decommission / re-commission the server within UCSM.
This decom/recom process *should* clear up the lingering faults and may also clear up (resync) the HCL error.
One more thing about HCL checks is that it not only checks hardware/firmware but also the OS and driver versions. Hyperflex usually does a good job of keeping all nodes on the same versions but if one node didn't get ESXi (or driver) patched for instance, then that could cause the HCL error.

Hi Steve,
Could you please confirm what is the decomission/re-comission procedure? I followed that in a Lab but now I cannot see the server.
Decommission the host from UCS Manager.
Log in to UCS Manager. In the Navigation pane, click Equipment.
Expand Equipment > Chassis>Chassis Number>Servers.
Choose the HX server you want to decommission. In the work pane, click the General tab.
In the Actions area, click Server Maintenance. In the Maintenance dialog box, click Decommission. Click OK.

You can navigate here to re-commission the server:

Hi,
This process in the UCS Manager will physically shutdown the server? or is just a logical link with the UCS Manager? Is there any impact?
Thanks,

Yes conducting this decom/reack will be a disruptive action. You should put the host in maintenance mode first. This is in an effort to clear the old faults.

Hi,
Could you please confirm if these are the steps?
1. Put the host in maintenance (from UCS Manager or vCenter?)
2. Decommission the server from UCS Manager
3. Recommission the server from UCS Manager
4. Exit the host from maintenance mode (from UCS Manager or vCenter?)
Thanks,
