anonymous call reject

This question relates to the "anonymous call reject" feature.  I have been advised that the CISCO VoIP system can't differentiate between an incoming call where "no caller ID information is passed" versus an incoming call where the caller has "deliberately blocked" their caller ID.

Thus, many calls are being rejected - (even by callers who are not deliberately trying to shield their identity).

Has anyone else had this problem with the CISCO VoIP system, and, more importantly - is there a solution?

Our older "standard telephony" PBX systems have no problem making the distinction.

Any assistance to resolving this problem would be greatly appreciated.

turn the anonymous call block to off in the sip profile field of the sip trunk.

Thank you for your reply Karthik.

Will this action permit the differentiation - or simply turn off the feature entirely?

it turns it off permanently/entirely.

you can't turned on and off locally by using the user interface later on.
