Has anybody connected PBX HICOM100 to Cisco router with VIC 2B-NT/TE. ISDN is ACTIVE but there is a message in Release_Comp "Invalid information element contents" in debug isdn q931 output when I try to call. I have set router as NT (the only possible setting towards HICOM100).

Can it ever run?

This indicates that the equipment sending this message has received an information element, but one or more of the fields in the information element are coded in a way that has not been implemented by the equipment sending this message. Generally this is due to a D-channel error. You could check for the bearer capabilty and make sure that the correct G.711 u-Law/a-law is applied.

We got one working by using a switch type of QSIG even though the PBX config screen said it was set to Net3 switch type , but if you are seeing clearing codes of invalid IE contents this sounds like the switch type is OK. Can we get a log from debug ISDN Q931 for a failed call ?
