in reviewing requirements for SS7 I am finding the Cisco solutions appears to include the #1, A Packet Voice Gateway (This can be an AS5000 or a 2600, 3600 or 7200 router), #2, a PGW 2200 PSTN Gateway #3 and SLT which can be a 2611, 2651, AS5350 or AS5400, #4 a RADIUS server, #5 H.323 gatekeepers which can be a 3660 or 7200.
This information may be outdates but is pulled from the Cisco website. I don;t find any mention of the 2900 series ISRs so that points to old info. My question is if there is a smaller or "all in one" solution for SS7 connectivity to the PSTN that would be appropriate for a very small CLEC to use.
Cost is king but the job still needs ot be done.
