When I try to go to the following address (to download software packs per CCA3.0

admin help guide, page 495

http://www.cisco.com/web/go/uc500swpk

the URL then changes, automatically, to this, and it says I do not have access;

https://supportforums.cisco.com/docs/DOC-9829

I have a partner level and serive contract owner priveleges on my Cisco.com account, and am able to download software from this address:

http://https://supportforums.cisco.com/docs/DOC-9829/

Could someone tell me what URL is the best / most recent for downloading software and localization pack?

You can go here:

www.cisco.com/go/software

Drill down to Voice and Unified Communications > IP Telephony > Call Control > Cisco Unified Communications 500 Series for Small Business > Cisco Unified Communications 540/560 for Small Business > Unified Communications Software Packs

Hope this helps.

Brandon

Hi Brandon,

Thanks for the reply.  Yes, I am able to download OK that way.

I guess I was concerned that I could not go to the site that is recommended in the CCA 3.0 admin help guide, and in the CCA3.0 itself, under maintenace, software upgrades, where it says to go to:

http://www.cisco.com/web/go/uc500swpk

I thought that one may be kept more current than the other.

It seems like I have full access to Cisco.com but not the Cisco support community pages.  I didn't see anywhere to add more privleges to the support community profile.

If someone knows what I am doing wrong, or how to add more download privledges to the support community profile, please let me know!

Hi There,

I guess I was concerned that I could not go to the site that is recommended in the CCA 3.0 admin help guide, and in the CCA3.0 itself, under maintenace, software upgrades, where it says to go to:

It is not uncommon for the documentation to lag behind the progress of change, it is unusual for it to happen in so many cases with Cisco as their documentation has historically been very well maintained, there does seem to be an issue with this being kept up-to-date of late..... So much going on I guess one has to account for these things happening from time to time.

For UC-500 related software I use this link:

http://www.cisco.com/web/go/uc500swpk/index.html

And for CCA I use this link:

http://www.cisco.com/cisco/software/type.html?mdfid=281010085&catid=null

They work but you need to keep updating them as things change and newer versions are released as they might get moved to different sections at times.

Cheers,

David.

Hi David,

The software link you provided is the one that I can not or no longer get to!

I get the following error:

" Unauthorized.

Please login to access this site (top right of this screen).  If your login is unsuccessful, your Cisco.com login does not have the authority to access this site. "

I get this message despite the fact that I am logged in!  The logout option appears on top right of screen, and it shows me logged in - Wecome - my name - appears on the top right as well.

As mentioned, I can login to Cisco.com and go to support, download software, search for 560 and I am able to download from that site - but not from the one above!
