Call blast group

Hi,

When a call is routed through a call blast group, all the other extensions get a "missed call" after a user in that group picks up. What is the workaround for this???

Regards

Eivind

The current behavior of a missed called is how the blast hunt group works - the workaround is to use a shared overlay dn via CLI:

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/voice_ip_comm/cucme/admin/configuration/guide/cmecover.html#wp1148195

Please make sure you follow the CCA guidelines for Out of band configuration so that you minimize any CCA - CLI conflicts:

My advice would be use 2 different buttons - one for the personal extension and one for the overlays.

Hi,

Will calls made directly to an extension be marked as unanswered when you use overlay-dn??

Not sure I follow the question - is the extension part of the overlay? By default all calls to extensions in overlay will not show as missed calls if someone answered the call. If no one answered on the overlay extension, then it would show as missed call.

You can allow missed calls for overlays as well via CLI:

Marcos,

Let´s say that I have a personal DN on ephone-dn  12, I then configure 4 dn´s as a overlay dn´s for the call blast group. I then configure a button on a ephone which have the following:

button 1o12,80,81,82,83

Will the calls made directly to dn 12 be marked as a missed call? For the other users I want to have in the call blast group the config would look something like this: button 1o13,80,81,82,83

As far as I´ve understood the overlaying DN´s (80-83) will not be marked as a missed call if a call is not answered by the user.. Or have I completely misunderstood? But will ephone-dn 12 and 13 be marked as a missed call if called directly on the extension outside the call blast group

The call blast group config is:

ephone-dn 80-83 has numbers 80-83 for convenience.

voice hunt 1 parallel

list 80,81,82,83

timeout 300

The reason for this setup is that if a user is busy or not able to answer I want all the other phones to ring, but I don´t want the users that didn´t answer in that group to get a missed call.

Maulik,

That was my guess as well, just wanted to know if there was another way to solve this.

Thanks,

Eivind

The better option is to separate the personal extension and a shared overlay - cleaner and users know what line is ringing to know if the call is to their direct extension versus the shared overlay.
