Hello,
I have 5 SPA500 Series phones and would like to purchase Cisco UC540/UC560 for them. I would like to know if they are compatible. Also I have a CP7936 Conference Station. Will I be able to use within the same configuration of UC540 and SPA500 Series phones?
Thanks!

Hello Safar,
You can check the compatability list on the following links:
http://www.cisco.com/en/US/prod/collateral/voicesw/ps6882/ps10585/cisco_sbcs__fdg_c07-557625-02_.pdf
It will work in SCCP mode with both phone types.
HTH,
Alex

1. Yes.
2. No, but for config and operation purposes, they are practically equivalent.

Hi Alex,
At Features of SPA500 series phones mentioned only SPCP.
Also, in links provided by you I saw only 7937, but no information about 7936. Yet the only signaling protocol supported by 7936 is SCCP.
So it makes me questioning again...
1. Does UC540 support simultaneous operation of SCCP and SPCP?
2. Would SPA500 Series phones work via SCCP?
Regards,
Safar.

Hi Safar,
Paolo have answered your questions(rated). For little more info you can check this link on SPCP, SPA phones, UC500:

Hi Alex,
Thanks a lot for your replies. I rated the posts.
So I will go for purchase of UC540 and will try to configure for both types of phones for simultaneous operation.
By the way,
is it the same CUCME? I have configured it several times on 2800 ISRs via CLI, but have experience neither with UC500 Series nor with Cisco Configuration Assistant.
Is it the same type of config?
Regards,
Safar.

Hi Safar,
Yes config is pretty much the same without the dynamic routing protocols (EIGRP, OSPF etc). The CCA is the official GUI tool and is quite easy to deal with. If you configure it using CLI you may need AUC specialization to get support with SBSC if needed.
Best regards,
Alex
