I have a CISCO UC540 - FXO - K9, but in the basement tag it has a label that said "CISCO UC520-16", i'd like know why this "UC540" has this model, is that correct?? i call to TAC and they told me that my UC giving the S/N is a CISCO UC540, if anybody can help will be very appreciate.

hello Sergio,
If you issue "show ver" command in telnet session at the end of the output the exact model will be written.

Thank you for your reply, I ran in console "show inventory" this show me that the equipment is UC540, but I'd like to know why the tag has the label "Model: UC520-16", is this equipment made with UC520's components?

Hello Sergio,
If the device is showing as uc540 it is uc540.
UC540 and 520 have a lot in common as they are the same series UC500. The tag which is not Cisco one could be written by anyone or could be taken from another uc520 I cannot help you with this.
