Configure a 2960 (IOS) switch to work with UC320W

What commands do I need to provide to my existing Cisco 2960 switch to allow it work with the UC320W?

I have created VLAN 100 with an ip address of 10.1.1.5

I used SmartPorts to configure the phones as PC+Phone

The uplink port on the switch is configured as a trunk

I have tried turning CDP off.

Does someone have a IOS config that works?

Thank You.

Hi Greg,

You can setup the 2960 port connecting to the UC320W as a trunk port if you want to keep it simple.  You will have 2 VLAN’s.  Vlan 1 for your data and VLAN 100 for your Voice.  Make sure that VLAN 100 is tagged and VLAN 1 is untagged.  Keep CDP turned On.

For the phones you could try the same type of configuration only utilizing the voice vlan capabilities of the 2960.  I have included a link below to help with the configuration.

http://www.cisco.com/en/US/products/hw/switches/ps628/products_configuration_example09186a0080b95982.shtml

Simply plug one port to the UC320W with this configuration and the other to a phone.  It should work without issue.  If you need further syntax help let me know.  I will be happy to help.

Thanks,
