Hi all,
Seen this question being banded about all over the net. But is there a way to reset the admin password so the phone can be factory reset. I have tried the standard options.

Reset to factory default doesn't require the admin password by default.
Administrator may disable reset with no password. If it decided to do it, then it is intentional that reset to factory default is not possible without valid admin password.
In such case, ask phone administrator to disclose valid password or reset the phone for you.

Hello Mike,
There are some models of SPA devices that were sold directly to providers and came pre-provisioned. These devices cannot be reset to factory defaults or reconfigured. Do you happen to have the exact model number of the phone from the sticker on the bottom? Usually if there is something like -rc or -sf after the model number it means you have a pre-provisioned phone.
You can also give us a call at the SBSC and we can look up the serial number for you to check if it is one of those phones or assist in attempting to reset it.

... or just connect to your phone with browser, see [ Info ] tab, section "Product Information". If the value of "Customization" is other than "open" then you have restricted unit.
