IP Communicator / SPA504 / Call Connector working together

Hi All,

Firstly apologies if i've put this into the wrong section. Secondly thanks in advance for your input.

I'll first describe the setup and then what we are trying to achieve. Hopefully someone will be able to help.

We have a UC560.

Users have an extension SPA504G phones. eg ext number 1234.

Users have Call Connector client software running on their laptop.

Users also have a IP Communicator running on their laptop. These are configured as CIPC on the UC560 and have the same extension number as their landline phone.

Under normal circumstances, when a user is at their desk, and uses their Call connector software, the deskphone makes the outbound call, and it works fine.

We would like to know if the following is possible...

Currently when the user is away from their desk and they try and use the call connector software, it defaults to using the physical SPA504G to make the outgoing call. How can we configure it so that when they are away from their deskphone the user uses the softphone (IP Communicator) to make the call. Is there some sort of setting on the UC or the call connector or the softphone?
