line monitor does not display DND

Hello,

Setup is UC320 with 20 phones.

Reception has a phone with sidecar configured with line monitor for first line of all phones.

All standard phones have voicemail disabled.

The problem is that when staff put their phones on DND the line monitor at reception does not change to indicate to the receptionist that the person is on DND.

Does anyone know if there is a better way to set this up? Or what is the best way to work this situation?

Hi Simon,

Line monitor button only monitors the status (ringing, on a call, or on hold) of a single extension. It can't monitor if the phone is on DND mode.

If the user who puts the call on DND mode wants reception answers his call, he can cfwd his call to reception instead of DND so that all incoming calls will go to reception.

Hi Simon,

I am not sure if UC320 supports watch as well as monitor buttons. If you can change the button from monitor to watch, The DND status will show as busy on the button of the sidecar.

That is how I have configured simillar situations, but on the uc500 platforms.
