Multi Site Incoming Sip not routing to 2nd site.

Hi Folks,

Site 1 we have a UC560, Site ID 1, With a SIP trunk coming in with 2 different area codes. extensions 200-299

Site 2 UC540 Site ID 2, no SIP. Extensions 300-350

We had setup and tested and working fully intersite dialing.

Using 82301 from site 1 dialied extension 301 site 2

We setup floating extensions on site 1 eg, 301 on site one, called 82301 and connected to ext 301 on site 2.

We had new SIP numbers for the area code for site 2 0131-xxx-xxxx and they were assigned to the floating extensions, and the calls went through no issues.

Site 2 dialed out and it routed to site 1 and out site 1 SIP.

Today the old numbers from the old phone system on Site 2 were ported over, and we have a problem.

Any incoming 0131 number assigned to a floating extension on site 1 for a site 2phone causes site 2 phone to ring, and when answered the line goes dead.

internal calls to site 2 work fine.

Assigning the numbers to site 1 extensions, site one phone rings answer and call is made, the call can then be transfered to Site 2 and continues to work fine.

So I know the intersite routing is working, calls can be transfered with no issuses but we need the incoming 0131 to ring phone in site 2 and the calls to be answered and work.

At the moement if the cals is answered the line goes dead, and its show on caller and as the other side cleared.

Anyone got any suggestions on how to trouble shoot this.,

Hi Graeme,

Can you check the multisite dial-peers to see if they have the following configured:

voice-class h323 1

If so, can you try removing that from the multisite outbound dial-peer on Site 1 and the multisite inbound dial-peer on Site 2 and test?

This disables h323 slow-start and may help.  Please add it back if it doesn't change the behavior.

Thanks,

Brandon
