Hi!

We had been running a PAP2-NA unit without problems for quite a while. Last week it started rebooting after every 5-6 seconds and keeps logging the followings:

Does anyone have any idea what reboot reason H736c0041 is?

It looks to me that it even connects successfully, but after a second it spuriously reboots...

Software version: 3.1.3(LS) Hardware version: 0.03.4

Any clues are welcome!

This is my suggestion:

"H" reason normally means an hardware reboot, usually caused by power or code reset.

Try to upgrade your PAP with the last firmware 5.1.6, perform a factory reset and reconfigure it.
You can download the firmware from this link:

http://www.cisco.com/cisco/software/release.html?mdfid=282414114&softwareid=282463187&release=5.1.6&relind=AVAILABLE&rellifecycle=&reltype=latest

If the problem is not fixed, check your warranty and open an RMA.

Regards.

Hi Daniele,

Thanks for your response. I tried upgrading the firmware but it doesn't start downloading the new one, I guess because it never gets into idle state. As I mentioned it restarts every like 8-10 seconds.

Any idea how to figure out the meaning of this reason code?

Thanks.

I've noticed that the PAP reboots continuously if the "Internet" port is not connected. Try checking the cable and try connecting the PAP to a different device.

Regards.
