We have a UC540 with a PRI trunk in an ambulance service. We are looking for methods to alert us when the pri is down. Is there any monitoring tools or alerting that can be configured on the UC?
Thanks,

You could write a TCL EEM script to send you an email based on SYSLOG message patterns.
There are some examples for that kind of thing on the web.

Your other option would be SNMP.

For something like an ambulance station I'd suggest getting a PRI failover service from your provider. Basically what happens is if the PRI goes down for any reason (UC power outage, system failure, cut lines, hdsl card failure etc) the Central office forwards predetermined DID's to a number of your choice automatically.
