Hi I have two SPA 3000 which I am using with a SIP service provider for about 3 years now, recently I have noticed on one of the unit that the actual tone goes in background and there is loud humming noise coming whenever I pick up the receiver. After resetting the device back to factory default some times restores the tone but humming comes back within minutes making it very hard to make/receive phone calls. Other unit with the same software/hardware and same provider working fine. I was wondering if I can try to upgrade the firmware if there is one available.
Thanks and best regards
Saeed

I understand, SPA-3000 is end of life, which means no support, but I believe some bugs can be resolved with a firmware upgrade. why doesn't cisco at leat offer the option to download the latest available firmware?
I've been reading many forums talking about firmware 3.1.10 , 3.1.18 and 3.1.20 , and they are nowhere to be found, both sipura.com and linksys.com point to cisco, what steps do I need to take to get the latest firmware?
Thank you.
Sam
