In the UC320W configuation utility, I've added an SPA8800 gateway and all of its ports. And I've used the SPA8800 IVR to set a static IP address on the same network as the UC320W. But no matter how many times I've reset both units or how many ways I've connected them (either directly connecting the Ethernet port on the 8800 to a LAN port on the UC320 or by connecting both to our network switch), the 8800 continues to show that it is configured but not registered and it doesn't pick up calls to the trunk lines connected to any of the FXO ports. I've even tried directly connecting a PC (within the same IP address range) to the AUX port of the 8800 and pinging it with no luck. Does anyone have any suggestions for getting the 8800 to communicate with the UC320?

Marie,
What is the Network addresses configured on the UC320W? Data and Voice vlans?
The SPA8800 has default network of 192.168.0.1 on the Aux port.
Please factory reset the SPA8800 (connect an analog phone fxs port access IVR (****) and enter 73738 and enter 1 to confirm.
Then connect LAN port of SPA8800 to UC320W and it should pull an IP address from UC320W.
Please try those steps and it should come online.

Randy,
The UC320 data vlan has a static IP of 192.168.200.50. It's voice vlan has been left as the default (10.1.1.1) and the SPA8800 was given a static IP of 192.168.200.51. Both are on our network (192.168.200 ip range) with a separate external DHCP server and firewall. I was using the SPA8800 Aux port to connect to the PC for configuring, but could not find anything in the ocnfiguration utility to help with registering the unit on the UC320. So now, nothing is connected to the Aux port. I've done several factory resets on the SPA8800 followed by resetting the static IP and connecting the LAN port to the UC320. Still no joy. Is is possible the SPA8800 is defective?

Hi Marie,
The SPA8800 should be on the voice VLAN (10.1.1.x) and not the data VLAN. I would not reccommend using the AUX port on the SPA8800. Lastly, I would suggest using DHCP for the SPA8800. There isn't really a need to use a static IP address. If the SPA8800 is not gettting an IP on the voice VLAN via DHCP, then there is something else going on and will need to look at your switch firmware/configuration.
Cheers,
Chris
