Please let me know if this is a known issue, and if there is a workaround or fix coming.
Here is the setup: UC320 with voice lines on FXO. Receptionist phone is a 525G2 with a 500S module. 500S Module has BLF buttons for all users, plus auto-dial buttons for each users VM box.
A call comes in over FXO, receptionist answers. Presses 'Transfer' to transfer the call. you get a stutter and then dial tone (b-b-b-b-b-beeeeep...) pressing the BLF or Autodial buttons on the 500S module do NOTHING. dialing the extension via keypad works as expected. Conf works the same way; pressing conf gets a stutter then dial tone, BLF and autodial buttons do nothing. Here is the interesting part, 'BlindXfer' works as expected, transfers to BLF and Autodial buttons just fine. It doesnt seem to do the stutter and dial tone.
Second issue, I noticed that when other phones (SPA504G) are on DND, the BLF on the receptionist's 500S module do not light up red, showing DND. Is this another issue, or by design?
Thanks,
Craig

Hi Craig,
The BLF and Auto Dial buttons in this case are designed for Blind Transfer behavior. The receptionist doesn't need to press Transfer or BlindXfer ... after the FXO call is answered simply press the BLF or Auto Dial button and the transfer should initiate. If consultation is required, press transfer and dial the extension. The Stutter Dial Tone happens when a VoiceMessage is present or a feature like DND or CFA is active. Is that the case for your phone?
The DND feature is working as currently designed.

Jeff

Sorry for the delay in responding.
Yes, the idea in this case is to accomplish a consultive transfer. It seems a bit confusing to have two different ways to accomplish a transfer. I think the current CME system works fine- transfer+BLF+end/transfer to blind transver or transfer+blf+consult+transfer for consultive transfer. At least that way the procedure is the same both ways. Seems silly to have all those fancy BLF buttons and not be able to use them for a consultive transfer.
the stutter was probably due to a VM, i've just never noticed that before (first UC320 install) and wasn't sure if it was a clue as to the transfer issue.
Thanks,
Craig
