uc540 and remote VPN connection

I connect to my Cisco UC540 remotely through VPN and use Cisco Communicator. This works fine, however once I connect to VPN, internet slows down significantly. Is it possible to setup the phone through VPN and the rest of the traffic through my local ISP. Thank you

Yes, it is possible to use "split tunneling".  How this is setup depends on how you are connected to the UC540.  Is it though a IPSec VPN tunnel, or SSL VPN??  If you setup split tunneling, it will allow you to only use the VPN for traffic to the UC540, and your local internet connection for regular internet traffic.

Thank you very much for the prompt reply. I found this option and once I turn it on, the system asks me to enter 'network' and 'wildcardmask' information. I'm not very good with this, so could you please advise me on what needs to be entered here.  My phones' addresses are like this: 10.1.1.1 and subnet mask 255.255.255.0, and computers addresses are like this - 192.168.10.1 and subnet mask 255.255.255.0.

Does it mean that I need to enter into the network filed the address of my cisco, that is 10.1.1.1 and in the wildcard field 255.255.255.0?

Are you doing this though CCA, and are you using SSL VPN?

If so, you want to enter the following subnets:

10.1.1.0           255.255.255.0

10.1.10.0         255.255.255.252

192.168.10.0    255.255.255.0
