UCS 540 and SPA 112 ATA

Hello Support Community!

I have a UCS 540 and wnat to connect analog phones via SPA112 ATA. Unfortunately this combination is not officially supported, but several posts indicated that it is possible.

If anyone has an idea or a solution that would be greatly appreciated!

The SPA gets it's IP address via DHCP from the UCS and points to the UCS NVI interface IP as proxy. the ATA IP is pingable.

Thanks

Mike

You are right, they aren't supported.  You can most likely configure them as SIP phones in CME, but I have never seen a configuration example of it.  You can start here which is how to setup a SPA phone in a CME router using SIP.

Let me reiterate you won't get any support from SB-TAC for this.

Hi adcompto,

Thanks for the link. By now I also found :

http://www.ciscoquestions.com/how-do-i-register-sip-phones-to-cucme/

with  nice examples. So I got my phone registerd, I can dial out, but I can not call the SIP phone.

But that might require another blog!

Thanks

Mike

This post solved all problems:

Just the ring on the SIP phone was muted ;)

Thanks
