I've got a UC520 connected to an ESW540, which is then connected to another ESW540 in another building by a fibre link. The fibre link is run through two 3Com Surestack switches (old), while we wait for new fibre cables to link the ESWs directly.
Using CCA I can see the remote ESW and configure it. Client PCs are conected and working fine, but IP phones (SPA525G and SPA504G) do not pick up an IP address. I am assuming that something is causing a problem with the VLans on the way over.
Is there anything I can do to prevent this? I don't mind a less than ideal solution as it should only be temporary.
Thanks.

IP Phones on our system must be on VLAN 100. So make sure that that VLAN is propagated across the layer 2 hops connecting both ESW switches.
Thanks,

Fine, I think the VLans were getting stripped.
Got a new transciever today - link between ESWs works without a problem.
Thanks.
