Has anyone tested, any type of phone with the SPA9000?
Managed to register the same for the softphone to receive and make calls?

You can use http://www.phonerlite.de/
There is a german and an english and a german free softphone which works very well with the SPA9000
for Registration of the phone to the SPA9000 you have to type in the following:
Proxy registrar: yourIPAdressofSPA9000:6060
Username is the number you wish to have
Should run immediately than.

We have developed a call manager called Call Ctrl and was designed specifically for the SPA9000 IP PBX and the SPA900 and SPA500 Series IP Phones.
Although not technically a SoftPhone, it functions nearly identically as a softphone, but requires an actual SPA IP Phone. It allows you to dial and control your phone from your Windows Desktop.
We may add a SoftPhone to Call Ctrl at some point. Aside from this you can use any SIP compliant SoftPhone. We have used SipCommunicator (open source Java) and Sipek (open source .NET).
