Hello,
I got a new 819, but I'm unable to activate GPS the way it's described in the documentation.
Router(config-if)# do sh inv
NAME: "C819GW-LTE-GA-EK9", DESCR: "C819GW-LTE-GA-EK9 chassis, Hw Serial#:, Hw Revision: 6.0"
PID: C819GW-LTE-GA-EK9 , VID: V01 , SN:NAME: "C819GWLTE Mother board on Slot 0", DESCR: "C819GWLTE Mother board"
PID: C819GW-LTE-GA-EK9 , VID: V01 , SN:NAME: "Modem 0 on Cellular0", DESCR: "Sierra Wireless MC7304 4G-GA"
PID: MC7304 , VID: 1.0, SN:
This should be the command to activate:
controller cel 0
lte gps mode standalone
But this command isn't available:
Router(config-if)#controller cel 0
Router(config-controller)#lte ?
event cellular snmp event persistence
failovertimer Failover timeout value in mins
interface Cellular interface
modem Modem logging configuration
radio Controller's radio
sim Subscriber Identity Module
sms SMS configurationRouter(config-controller)#lte

This is what I see on a very similar model router:
KFC-Balmoral(config-controller)#do show inv
NAME: "C887VAG-4G-GA-K9", DESCR: "C887VAG-4G-GA-K9 chassis
controller cellular 0
#lte ?
event cellular snmp event persistence
failovertimer Failover timeout value in mins
gps GPS configuration
modem Modem logging configuration
radio Controller's radio
sim Subscriber Identity Module
sms SMS configuration
It is running this software image:
c800-universalk9-mz.SPA.154-3.M4.bin

(config-controller)#lte ?
event cellular snmp event persistence
failovertimer Failover timeout value in mins

Thanks for your reply.
The router was shipped with 15.5.3M, but I also updated to 15.6.1T0a for the test.
I just tried to boot 15.4, but it looks like it's not supported on that hardware:
*** No sreloc section!!!FATAL ERROR : Unknown controller type 3254!!!FATAL ERROR : Unknown controller type 3254
I think they changed something with that model/HW revision, but it's not documented anywhere...

It's not a problem, it's just not implemented by now.
I was told that it should be available in this releases:
15.6(3) T
15.5(3)3M3

:-O
Does it mean we cannot use GPS on these routers?
I have another router
C819G-4G-G-K9 with c800-universalk9-mz.SPA.154-3.M1.bin and GPS commands where available :-S
Thank Christian, let me know

What software version do you have? I would be tempted to try the gold star release 15.4(3)M4 if you are running something less than this version.
