at our remote site we have an 1841 router and i would like to configure it to auto dial a modem when/if the main connection goes down.
we did this at my last company but that was several years ago and, quite frankly, i've forgotten what the config looks like to do that.
thanks, Gary

Gary, these links have useful info on configuring DDR backup:

Mak,
thanks for the docs.
one quick question:
what equipment would i need on my side of the link. i understand connecting the modem to the AUX port and so forth.
in the top doc, Cisco is using an AS5300. Here on my side i have an 1841 RTR. could i setup another modem as a target for the remote modem?
Thanks, Gary
