hi

You need better connectivity/reachability to the remote destination to establish the IPSEC VPN tunnel.

You can have an internet connection and can build your tunnel over that too but you mite get hit on the performance part.

Regarding building a tunnel with 3640 you need to check up the Crytpo support in the particular ios code which you have currently installed in the boz.

IF you want to have the ipsec tunnel terminated in the 3640 box then you need to find out the best possible ios code which you can have with the current dram and flash.

To implement a VPN with Cisco using ipsec u need two Ipsec compatible Devices. I would go for Leased Line instead of Dial up or ISDN.

Can you explain current hardware for both sides?
