Can you provide ur isdn config

Ajay
In my experience the kind of error messages that you post are sometimes related to physical layer issues. Can you post the output of show isdn status, and of show interface?

Ajay
I do not understand your statement:
Although Layer is deactivated but as service Provider is checking on ISDN Phone its working fine.
The output of show isdn status does seem to confirm that at least at this point that there is a problem with the ISDN that keeps it from working. When that problem is resolved let us know how things are working.

Dear Rick
I mean to say ISDN service provider is telling his isdn line is o.k he proves this by calling through ISDN phone which works perfectly.

Hi AJAY
I had faced the similar problem ....were on ISP side switch we gave layer 3 hold command .
At the 1st exchange from the branch office ,they changed the card of the dlc .
Before that they proved with isdn phone that line was fine.....in turn we proved by replacing the router....
After this two changes we didn't had any problem.so try with this..before this ensure ur equipments are fine.

Please try to capture the "debug isdn q921" & "debug isdn q931" then post it here for more info. Thx.

Given the results of show isdn status:
RouterA#sh isdn sta
Global ISDN Switchtype = basic-net3
ISDN BRI0/1/0 interface
dsl 2, interface ISDN Switchtype = basic-net3
Layer 1 Status:
DEACTIVATED
Layer 2 Status:
Layer 2 NOT Activated
debug isdn q921 or debug isdn q931 are predictable and will show that there is no activity.
The provider may say that the ISDN line is fine and may prove it by using an ISDN phone, but something is seriously not working for the router connection. Can Ajay check the physical connection and verify that the interface of the router is connected properly to the correct place for the ISDN line?

Did you carry a very simple step .... to swap the phone cable ? And checked the pin assignment of the cable is correct ?
The way for the provider to prove it work, I suggest to ask the provider to bring a router to your office and plug to ISDN.
Or do you have another router for the test ?

Dear ajaykumar,
Even I am facing same problem on my network setup. When we expect ISDN will come to help us out as a backup to serial line, ISDN refuses to work by giving this error on console.
Please let me also know if you could resolve the problem
Thanks

Hello,
you might want to try and add the following to both your dialer strings, there is a possibility that the ISDN switch only supports 56K speeds...
dialer string XXXXXXXX class Speed56
!
map-class dialer Speed56
dialer isdn speed 56
