Getting the following error when trying to authenticate to VPN 3020: Xauth required but selected Proposal does not support xauth, Check priorities of ike xauth proposals in ike proposal list

Find the IKE proposals on the VPN3020 (location varies with version so I can't tell you where). You will find some are active, others not. Ensure that one is active where the authentication method is "pre-shared keys (xuauth)" with something like MD5, 3DES, DH group2.
If you see a proposal named "CiscoVPNClient-3DES-MD5" then that will do the trick.
