have you rebooted after the upgrade ?
I will point out that the version doesn't exist on Cisco's download page
BB - you do not see download, the download automatically appears on the device and recommend a path to upgrade.

Yes I have rebooted (this is part of the upgrade) I have done several of these in the past with no issues.
When I say the version isn't on Cisco support, I know you don't see the download website on the CLI. What I mean about the version not being on the download page. Version 18 doesn't exist there so have TAC pulled it.
Thanks Mike

what version you see on download page
if TAC pulled there may be some new patches added and revealed new version.

I have the same problem on my virtual appliance. Upgrade is successful but after the restart still the old version is running. Found something on the bug search https://bst.cloudapps.cisco.com/bugsearch/bug/CSCvr08420 but was not able to test it so far.
Do you already have a solution for the problem?

Hello mwardale777 / Tobias Lerch ,
I would request you to please check the upgrade logs. You should put the upgrade logs on debug level and check the issue.
you can change the level of logs by following the path below:-
System administration-> Upgrade_logs-> log level-?> please choose "debug".
It would really be better if you open a ticket with TAC and we can find out what happened and why did the device not boot up in the correct version.
11.8.0-440 was blocked on S690/S695 because of an issue , a newer version with the fix will be out soon.
Regards
Shikha Grover
