Hello @yaronbe ,
the only recommended release for Secure Web Appliance virtual is 14.5.1MD from what I see on the software download page.

They are available downloaded AsyncOS images on your WSA. They where most probably downloaded by someone using the System Upgrade wizard - https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/security/secure-web-appliance/217911-upgrade-process-for-secure-web-appliance.html
As you can see from the document, in Step 4 you have two options: Download and Install or Download only. The later option downloads the images for future use.

15X is okay for me for the version, 15. X is still stable.
You can see the upgrade option on the WSA. If you want to go to a higher version, always check the compatible matrix and if SMA manages it.

Hello @yaronbe
you can also review a summary of changes between the versions from here:
it is best to check the release notes directly, items in the above list, is summary or the most important changes.

Please consider there is no one size fits all,
I would say, it is best to review the release notes, there are two sections "known defects" and "Fixed defects"
you can see the list of of the defects, and their conditions, they might not impact your upgrade planing.
(IE. the defect is for Transparent deployment and you are using Explicit, or it is related to a SCP log server, which you might not using it)
