Have you implemented all of the Webex recommended essential configurations in your org?
The configs I'm asking about are:
Phase one:
Phase two:
If you did all of them: What benefits do you get from enabling these items? How did you measure success of enabling them?
If you didn't, why?

I have ever helped customer admin to process that in Webex CH:
Phase one:
Phase two:
Generally ,not all customers have the environment to implement the above feature, but if they can and finish that ,they enjoy that benefit .

Phase 1 --> we did everything except Site Linking
Phase 2--> DirSync and HybridCalender
All work fine and without issues

Site linking was incredibly useful but now the webex site admin to Webex Control Hub tool is available, this should be a must to help get to the great experience posted about throughout this thread

We did Phase 1 & 2. We activated DirSync, SSO by Microsoft Azure IdP and Cloud Calendar Service.

In terms of how you measure success on enabling those settings apart to what it has been mentioned before.
1. In control hub, in overview you will see the User experience improvements, so less options will be suggested in the Overview page.
2. Following those phase steps it will increase Adoption and those could be measured in Analytics and reports in Control Hub

About phase one we did everything except Site Linking.
The tools that are provided by the Control Hub with the services we have active are very good. We are also considering implementing the DirSync and SSO services: the goal is to improve both the user management activities handled by our IT Team and the user experience of the users.
Site linking does not concern us as => we have deployed all services directly on the Control Hub (no Site Admin)
Our Hybrid Calendar service is active: meetings creation just got easier and we can also use the OBTP feature.

I still need to activate some essential settings
Through WebEx experience we can realize what we need to configure, and what is the health of our Control Hub.
All of these are functionalities that make it easier for us to control and manage the platform.

While I have not personally integrated these items. We do use SSO for Webex. We also use the calendar integration with Outlook

when the essential configurations deployment has been done, we've noticed:
an ease in adding users
user authentication with the email and password of AD is making it easy for the users to remember thier crednetials, before every while the users forget thier passwords and reset them, another thing is the competition of the features with other vendors, currently the solution is in same level with them and can compete.
the most amazing feature currently is the calander, it is giving the users with deivces the most of the prodcut capabilites, it can join multi vendor meeting platforms with an ease method.

Hi Molly,
All of them are done successfully for our org.
Benefits we got from enabling these items:
- Adoption has boomed so fast and utilization raised especially after enabling the sso
- less admin tasks by user provisioning
- Easier for end user to use the Webex Room by OBTP
How did you measure success of enabling them?
We figured our from our QVR with our success manager the rise in utilization. Overall, a utilization of 87.3% for our Org. (Nov 2021) was really a good number taking into account that it was 56% 1 year ago.

We just did phase 1, because we don't use SSO nor Dirsync
Thanks,

I'm not an IT Admin, but the steps in the training are very clear and easy to follow.

I have not done it yet, because I have just started implementation.

Yes we have implemented all the recommended essential configurations through a partner , we ran to a some troubles here and there, but mostly was very straight forward.
Phase one:
In our org we have: Control Hub, multiple site admin, CUCM and Expressways.
Verify Domain: We have multiple domains(and still adding)
Claim Users: We still adding more domains, so what is best for us is to add the user through the connector, then we use a SSO.
Claim Domain: Always claim our domains and get the verification.
Site linking: Done this as well.
Phase two:
DirSync: We use the directory connector to sync users from AD.
SSO: We use Auth0 for this, so it’s easy to the user to log in and for us to manage.
Calendar features: We use the hybrid service and the o365.
This is what work best for us, we have all kind of users, some use outlook to set up a meeting, and some use the Webex App or the productivity tools. We are kind of open about it.
Then we have CUCM and Telepresence devices, and we manage calls from there mostly using the Webex app now as a softphone (especially in this pandemic).

Both Phases Completed, Still facing issue with license management.
Currently I am syncing only one Security group from AD, Auto license assignment is enabled in control hub. When there is new license requierement end user will be added to SG and license gets enabled, and vise versa for license release.
Now I am planning to sync entire AD to webex and allow users to sign in to new webex app as attendee only user wilth bsic messaging and basic calling features. When there is a license requierement users to be added to SG and license assignment should happen in same fashion as currenty in use and when user removed from this SG license should be removed or user should be marked as in active.
As per webex support, License needs to be removed manually. Any other work arround ?

Still on early stages but got SSO and Calendar.

We did phase 1&2.
- Benefits:
1/ Easy sync users from AD to Webex.
2/ One profile to login and authentication with SSO.
3/ OBTP feature is OK.
- Need improve:
1/ We are using SSO authentication with third-party identity provider (O365), and we have multitenant with multidomain. At the current we can only authenticate with one Microsoft tenant.
2/ We wish Webex can support multi-authentication with local built-in and SSO.
Thanks,

Best way to bulk add users!

Yes, we've done all of them. The Phase One steps give the organization control and security over the use of the company domain. Claiming and verifying not only our main domain but also several alternate domains in the organization ensures that no one can sign up for an account and pretend to represent the company when used in combination with the Phase Two steps of Directory Connector and SSO.
The Phase Two steps for our users ensures a consistent experience among all users. This allows us to put out consistent messaging and training materials, which in turn reduces burden on our Help Desk team. SSO specifically is a win so users can login with their existing AD credentials and do not have to remember yet another username/password combo. Directory Connector is another win for the IT team in that we can create/expire user accounts in one place and have them show up in Control Hub consistently, eliminating one more source of human error.
We can measure the success of implementing these steps by NOT creating additional workload for our IT Team as well as seeing daily average users stay steady or increase over time. As we only recently migrated to Webex two weeks ago, it is too early to measure these metrics but I am confident with all of the Phase One and Phase Two steps in place that is indeed what we will see.

The immediate benefits are consolidating the steps to onboarding and user validation. End users get the pleasure of a simplified login process and have their content form their calendar show up and administrators did not need to manually onboard new users.

Currently company guidelines prevents successful implementations of DirSync and SSO, it takes some heavy lifting to get these changed
