CS-KITPLUS-K9 , do I need to purchase external microphone? One of the errors says it cannot detect microphone

Yes - the Kit Plus does not have any microphone, nor does the quad cam or PTZ camera you would likely have connected to it. The Room Kit, Kit Mini, and Room bar all have built in mics.
