Webex Room Navigator and In-room booking behaviour

Seems not much information is available regarding the in-room booking feature.

What happens when you reserve a room ad-hoc from a Webex Room Navigator either configured as Room Booking or as Control?

Does this reservation is also sent to the Exchange server or is it just a local feature without using the Hybrid calendar feature?

The latest documentation regarding the Tuch10/Navigator : "touch10-navigator-room-series-user-guide-roomos-1015" does not contain any info about this.

Any additional documentation available for the in-room booking and the Webex Navigator configured for Room Booking?

I have played a bit with the xcommand booking. I suppose the Room Navigator also makes use of these macro's.

xCommand Bookings List: give me the list of scheduled conferences including the MeetingId.

xCommand Bookings Delete Id: "1618ed2d-dea7-6cf3-9ba0-4a4d43d6cf9e": allowed me to delete a scheduled conference. This meeting was booked from Outlook and in Outlook I got a meeting Declined from that specific codec.

Then I tried to book from the room system:
xCommand Bookings Book Duration: 30 StartTime: "2022-09-30T12:00:00Z" Title: "Macro booking"

The meeting was visible on the codec but did not appear in the room calendar. Also after a few minutes the meeting disappeared on the codec.

I was trying to see if such meeting would also appear in the Room calendar on Exchange. But maybe the Exchange did not allow to control the room calendar.

I have this problem too.  I would think that while the exchange connector is configured to impersonate users, that's only if the person making the bookings is authenticated, such as from Outlook, or Webex app, or Webex portal.   It doesn't make sense to me how a device can book meetings without some form of authentication.

Anyway, we have 30 new navigators, and none can book meetings.

From my understanding a user who has the impersonation rights can create a booking in the calendar on behalf of another user. But that said this is not from my understanding how the user used for bookings from the touch panel, in-room or wall mounted, is setup as it should have the rights to create bookings in the room accounts directly. Meaning that it does not impersonate a user, it creates the booking in the room calendar as the account set to be used for this on the Hybrid Calendar service.

I think I found my issue.  I was missing an email address for "Scheduling Account Email Address" in my Expressway.

I don't recall that being there when I built the Expressway 18 months ago, but I might have just missed the option.  I will know if that's the issue when we test it tomorrow.

It creates AFAIK an item in the calendar that the room/device is set to use by Hybrid Calendar. I'm not currently in front of a device to test, but I can do so next time I'm in the office. That would likely be on Monday.
