Hi,
Is it possible to have multiple CBW Masters on the same network? It appears that the MAC address used is static and hence two is an issue?
Many thanks
Tom.

Hey Tom,
It is not possible to have multiple primary APs (formerly called 'master') on the same subnet, or network.
Have a great day.

Hi Corey,
I have CBW 140AC, once configured as a primary AP and add subordinates working fine but if the main internet goes down and come back the AP are not working and the LED lights are blinking red. What's the issue and solution?
Thanks

Hi Shuja,
Blinking red can indicate a IP assignment issue. See the article here for more details:

...and how many APs can be managed by the "master"?
Thanks

The primary AP can manage up to 50 subordinate APs depending on the configuration and environment.

thanks Corey!
another Q: the cbw APs can be managed by a wlc? like ct5508 or 9800? Thanks

Hey Vincenzo,
Happy to help. These CBW devices are of a controller-less design so there is only the primary AP management to be handled. If you would like more of a 'hands on' approach you could use Cisco Business Dashboard or the CB mobile app.
Have a great day!

great! so in case I need a "plan B" I can't managed these APs to convert in a sort of lightwave APs and mage these by a traditiona wlc, right?

These CBW devices cannot be converted into the hardware they are based off of. That hardware was also a controller-less design. There is only management via: the Web UI, CBD, mobile app.
