Network set up; wireless router (D-link DIR825) to Cisco switch (SD208p) and have Wap200 hooked to cisco switch to extend range up one floor. Can see it as wireless network, but cannot configure it with web browser. Address 192.168.1.245 just times out via pings as well. Have done all resets, power on reset, etc nothing. Help

Hi Daniel
The WAP200 is set to obtain an IP address via dhcp by default. If you have place the WAP200 into your network before configuring it it, then it may have obtained an IP address automatically. I recommend checking your router's dhcp table for the IP address. If you are still not able to locate it, you may have to reset it and configure it outside of the network.

Robert:
Thanks for the prompt reply. That worked. Now, only one other small issue. When logged in on Wap200 (set to AP) with laptop , cannot get into web setup. Get 401 error. Using a wired computer in same network, not a problem. Is there some setting I missed? Thanks again for your help.

Normally our APs do not allow access to the webGUI when wirelessly connected. There should be an option under administration to enable wireless web access or management.
