Hi there,
A counterpart of mine was asking what the antenna pattern is in the WAP321's and also how exactly they should be mounted. We can't seem to find the antenna patterns anywhere. Can somebody please post this in for for us? Thanks!

Hello Sir,
I believe that the information that you are looking for is that the WAP321 has an omni-directional pattern. It is designed for Wall or Ceiling mounting. I would normally prefer to mount this AP on the Ceiling for best coverage. If you check the following website out, It will give you a good breakdown of the WAP321 and also has a few pictures of the inside of the unit. This is great, since opening your own up would void any warranty that it has.
I hope this answers your question. If not please respond back and I will try to get some more detail for you. I am currently training Engineers on the new AP's we have coming out, so it may take me a little bit to get back to you.
Thanks

Dear Customer,
Thank you for contacting Cisco Small Business Wireless support community.
There is no part diagram or assembly instructions available in how to mount the internal fixed PIFA antenna on the WAP321 since end users are not intended to.
I suggest you to contact your nearest, most convinient, Cisco Partner in order to get assistance on your request;

Sir, we ARE Cisco partners. That's the point, as partners we cannot seem to find the antenna pattern for this AP. I hope your next reply is quicker and more helpful than the previous. Thank you.

Root cause? We are simply trying to find out what the antenna patterns are so that we can fine tune our mounting of the AP's. Before purchasing the product we want to know how the signals operate. There is no "root cause". I don't think that you are understanding the question.

Hello and thank you for your much more thorough response. Unfortunately we have been through all of those documents and they still don't provide the information we have requested. When one purchases an antenna for an AP from Cisco the antenna patterns are normally on the page. Unfortunately that is not the case here. Am I to understand that mounting vertically or horizontally will make no difference whatsoever with this AP? If so, where can I find confirmation of this? Thank you.
