Hi,
In our office we have 2 WAP4410N for our clients and guests to have free wifi.
One WAP is connected directly to our ISPs Modem/Router. (reffered to as WAP1 from now on)
The second WAP was not connected directly to the network. (reffered to as WAP2 from now on)
Both WAPs have Static IP addresses.
Both WAPs have the same SSID and config settings
WAP1 in AP mode is set to Access Point with the "allow wireless signal to be repeated by a repeater" checked and the appropriate MAC address of WAP2 below it.
WAP2 in AP mode is set to Wireless WDS Repeater with WAP1s MAC address there.
Every day or two it seems that noone can connect to the WAPs and they have to be unpluuged and plugged back in to start working again. Ive read alot of other people having the same issue but none since 2013 and i did not find any solutions to fix this problem. All i read was Cisco Reps saying submit a ticket but none gave any solutions to the problem.
This is my current configuration.
Am i configuring it wrong or are the WAPs just poorly made/ designed? Also if anyone knows how to fix this issue please reply to this post.

The first post was written on 22-Sep-2010, and Cisco has not done anything, you should be ashamed to support so poor. My WAP4410 goes out one day and the other one as well ....

Hi, My name is Eric Moyers. I am a Network Support Engineer in the Cisco Small Business Support Center. Thank you for using the Cisco Community Post Forums.
First please make sure you upgrade to the latest firmware 2.0.6.1
This version fixes the issue with wireless clients dropping from the network.
Of the two modes I have had better success with Wireless Client repeater.
Thanks

That's a non-answer. You claim that version 2.0.6.1 fixes the problem but if you read his post that is the version he is using. It's pathetic that we have spent so much on such a piece of junk. I've had no name $15 access points that "only" have to be rebooted every couple of months not several times a week. My WAP4410N is not usable so it's just sitting under my desk waiting on a new firmware update to come out while my Netgear is working fine.

I just saw that you had had responded to my post.
You are right, I did not see where Chris had put his FW version at the bottom of his Post. That was my mistake.
Besides that, 2.0.6.1 does resolve the issue. Provided that the firmware upgrade applied correctly.
To ensure that it does, it is highly recommended that when upgrading you factory default and manually reconfigure the AP. Not just for this firmware, but for any device when upgrading.
Again I apologize for not seeing the FW version at the bottom of the post.

Thank you for your kind and quick response.
Personally, I have already updated to the 2.0.6.1 firmware but nothing has changed.
Now do it again, following his instructions.
Then, after the necessary testing, postero here the result.

From 28/02/2013 until today, the wap 4410 has never given a problem, I think this firmware has fixed the bug.
Thank you for your cooperation.
