I have been able to configure the AP to act as WG Bridge with a Cisco parent AP and it works flawlessly.
I have a Linksys AP in the test environment that is wide open in terms of authentication and it works with any standard client.
However, there is some issue with the 1200 associating with the Linksys in WG Bridge mode. Below is a debug, is there some reason it wants a Cisco AP as the parent AP?

Hi there,
I have a 1242 working as a WGB on a non-Cisco WLAN. It is working with Aruba. You need to make sure you are running at least version 12.4 for it to work. From what I can see it is very limited - I can only get one client connecting to the Ethernet port :-(
You basically have to use the command below to turn on Universal mode - the mac address is the mac address of your fixed client.
station-role workgroup-bridge universal aaaa.bbbb.cccc
