Hi All-
I have a couple of new 1542 Outdoor APs that are not connecting to the controller, a 5520 running 8.10.183.0. I assume that this is due to the expired certificate issue. I cannot find the right thread here.
So, I did the following:
1. Set the controller date to 8/15/2020
2. entered the "config ap cert-expiry-ignore mic enable" and "config ap cert-expiry-ignore ssc enable" commands
The APs are still not registering. They are outdoor and up high, so I prefer not to have to access them physically. I could recreate using a different AP, but that would require me to drive across town and pick one up. So I thought I'd ask here first.
I always appreciate the help here, thanks,
Wes

Check if you have the option "Authorize MIC APs against auth-list or AAA" checked under SECURITY > AP Policies. If you have it checked, you need to add the AP ethernet mac address on the permit list

If I recall correctly, outdoor AP's need their MAC's entered to the AP Policy list' just to be recognized.
