1852i - Can TFTP Software Upgrade but reboot does not update

Hi all,

I have (2) 1852i access points.  #1 accepts Mobility Express Upgrades fine, now running 8.5.105.0 and is up and running as my controller.  #2 is running 8.2.100.0 and will see the controller, controller accepts, then it fails the image download and gets stuck in its loop of retrying.  I have tried updating the software to multiple versions via Gui http and it fails.  I can upload the software via the GUI TFTP to the #2 AP and completes 100%.  I reboot the AP and it was not updated, still 8.200.100.0.

Any thoughts?

Hi,

Try to upload the latest firmware on the affected Ap1852 and then check if it is joining.

Take the console access of the AP and run the below command:

archive download-sw /force-reload /overwrite tftp://ipaddress/filename.tar

Here is the link to download the image: https://software.cisco.com/download/release.html?mdfid=286285803&flowid=75343&softwareid=286288051&release=15.3.3-JF1&relind=AVAILABLE&rellifecycle=ED&reltype=latest

Regards,

Divya

Thanks for the response, I gave it one last http upgrade from the GUI before trying this and the latest version took.  But now there is a larger problem.  See below.

Just curious if anyone has seen this?  I can reflash the software but same error above (UBI error) in the booting up.  Doesn't get a chance to even get to boot, immediately errors.
