I would like to use my 1852i as normal acces point to share my internet connection wireless

I've convert the AP to Mobility Express AP (Cisco 1852i , Firmware 8.10.151.0) I'm not see my AP. How can I enable the AP function in the ME?

my 1852 have static ip (fixed on 1852 and on my router)

Second the 1852 not broadcast the SSID and I need to use the cli to configure it ( no cisco configuration wifi after the conversion)

Incase you dont have DHCP server in your network

1. login to AP from WLC cli by entering command "apciscoshell", use credentials Cisco/Cisco.

2. Assign the static IP "capwap ap ip <AP Static IP> <AP Static Netmask> <AP Default Gateway>"

3. Verify the IP config is taken "show capwap ip config"

4. Make sure that the Gateway is reachable.

It's important that all the AP's reporting to ME WLC must reside in the same broadcast domain (VLAN).

I haven't played around with ME in a while.  Keep in mind that the controller and the ap has a different ip and both will get an ip address.  Think it like this, they are separate even though it's one unit.  So you will have to follow the guide and validate that your NTP is set and country code is defined.

Hi,

I am completely agree with @Scott Fella . Both AP and WLC need different IP.

Did you configured a IP range (scope) so that AP can get IP via DHCP ? if not then do it and try again.

Regards
