2702e AP Antenna choices

Hi there

First of all, does the 2702e come with any Antennas? the data sheet says sold seperately -

http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collateral/wireless/aironet-2700-series-access-point/datasheet-c78-730593.html

Either way, is there anywhere that gives a list of which antennas work with what APs? Will the AIR-ANT2524DW-R= work with the 2702e?

According to http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/products/collateral/wireless/aironet-antennas-accessories/product_data_sheet09186a008008883b.html it will work with 1600/2600/3600/3700 but doesn't mention 2700?

AIR-ANT2524DW-R

AIR-ANT2524DW-R=

White dipole, 1 port

Single white dipole antenna with RP-TNC connector. The antenna provides indoor omnidirectional coverage. It has a 90-degree articulation radius and can be used with the 1600/2600/3600/3700 access points.

2.4 GHz: 2 dBi

5 GHz: 4 dBi

Effectively we require a Dual band Dipole antenna capable of 90 degree articulation. what are our choices?

Thanks in advance

Simon

Simon,

the basic rule is "as long as you match the AP connector" you can use the antenna. So basically any dipole that is listed in the Cisco antenna reference you can use. Now since your requirement is a dual band, you just look for dual band dipole. Even with other antennas, you know you have 4 dual band antenna ports on the 2702e, so you just need to find an AP with 4 antenna leads with the proper connectors.

The antenna you stated will work.
