2802I not discovered by PI 2.1

hello,

a customer uses PI 2.1, WLC 2504 8.2.151.0 and AP 3502I and 2602I.

Now he bought an AP 2802I. after upgrading the WLC to 8.2. the AP works fine.

But the AP is not discovered by the PI. In PI in the Audit Status of the WLC the AP Name and Mac are detected, but the Status is "In Downloading State".

Is it necessary, that PI also supports AP Types which are discovered via WLC? Which PI Version is needed? 3.1?

thx for help

Nico

Hi

Pls refer below compatibility matrix

http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/wireless/compatibility/matrix/compatibility-matrix.html#pgfId-148422

I would suggest PI 3.2 if you have opportunity to upgrade

http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/net_mgmt/prime/infrastructure/3-2/release/notes/cpi_rn.html

Since there is no direct upgrade path from 2.x to 3.2, I would suggest you to fresh build on 3.2 and then import maps from existing 2.1 system to new setup. Below is the PI 3.2 quick start guide for your reference
