4402 Controller question

Hi All,

We have a 4402 Wireless Controller.  However, our AP's are from another manufacturer (Meraki MP12).  Is it possible that the 4402 can "control" the Meraki MP12?

Thanks - Joe

Is it fair to say that the Cisco 4402 controller will only support Cisco AP's?

This is correct.

The Cisco WLC will NOT support the AP540 nor the Linksys-branded WAP.

The Release Notes will tell you which firmware will support which WAP models.

If you take a look at the release note, depending on what code versions, it will the supported equipment... Of course it is all Cisco gear.

No.

Leo,

Can I take it a step further?  Is it fair to say that the Cisco 4402 controller will only support Cisco AP's?

Thanks again.

Sorry, you were too fast.  I edited my last post to provide further information.

Thanks for the ratings.

Yes... It will list the supported devices in the release notes.
