Solved: 7510 WLC and CSCwd80290

Hello Community!

Ther is an old 7510 WLC which will be replaced one day but this day didn't come yet.

Looks like last firmware for it AIR-CT7500-K9-8-5-182-0.aes and it's affected by CSCwd80290.

And recommended 8.5.182.7 for this model isn't avalible. The question is my be it is possible to upload on the 7510 AS_7500_8_5_182_7.aes? Software Download - Cisco Systems says this file is for 5520, 8540, 8510 Platforms BUT may be 7510 was jus forgotten on this list?

You're right they normally run the same software. I'm 99.999% sure that image will work for you. Give it a try and make sure you have console access just in case you need to switch back.

8.5.182.0 and engineering special release 8.5.182.7 are not the same.

7510 image is only for the 7510 and 8510. 5520 and 8540 share the same "cut".

7510 image is only for the 7510 and 8510. 5520 and 8540 share the same "cut".

Up to 8.5 7510/8510/5520/8540 all shared the exact same image @Leo Laohoo and the 8.5.182.7 image is specifically designated for 5520, 8540 and 8510 but the clue is in the filename AS_7500_8_5_182_7.aes which is why I'm confident it will also work for 7510.
