7920 cannot register with AP after firmware upgrade

We have a customer using 7920 with Firmware 1.08.

He tries to test the Beta firmware (cmterm_7920_3.3.02_05_005.bin) on some 7920.

The upgrade finished correctly and after reconfiguration, 7920 register to the APS.

On two devices, he got a problem:

- The configuration menu is hidden. We try to enter the sequence *## ‘send’ but without success.

- The ‘reset’ with sequence *7#9#2#0#* is not working (it was working on other 7920 when locked by password)

- USB parameter is hidden, so we cannot activate it.

- We try to download an old firmware (cmterm_7920_3.3.01.03.bin) trough USB port, using the boot function after power on, but we got the message: ERR304-Memory insufficient to upload the firmware image.

- We try to use an AP with basic configuration, broadcasting SSID cisco or tsunami, but 7920 stay with the message ‘No AP found’.

So, these two 7920 are unusable now.

Have you any suggestion? Daniel Bill

First off 02-05-005 is not a 7920 image. He may be using 02-01-XXX, which is an engineering image and shouldn't be used in production. Can try Menu->*##->Send then config menus will be unhidden.

Also *7#9#2#0#*, will just factory default the phone if phone lock is enabled, where you are prompted for a password at power on.

Are you saying the phone will not boot now? If so, then call TAC. If they can boot, you can enter admin secret to expose hidden menus and enable usb to upload the firmware via USB or either configure the 802.11b paramaters to upload via TFTP wirelessly.
